This basement
finish project was a bit of a challenge. The concrete
slab was sinking, there were no windows in the
basement, some of the electrical and cable wiring was
hanging down and had to be re-routed, and we needed to
install a separate heating unit for specifically for
the basement. We also had two separate storage areas
that we needed to maintain access to once the basement
was complete.
After working with the homeowners regarding the
layout, we put together a plan for the heating system
and brought in one or our top-quality sub-contractors
to mud-jack the concrete slab.
The basement turned out to be some great living space
with three large windows and a walkout door bringing
in a huge amount of light and giving the space a
bright, open feeling. The homeowners then accented the
basement with bright colored furniture and fanciful
light fixtures, turning this dark closed room into
some wonderful, inviting living space for their large
foster family. |
