This old Victorian
style duplex in Manitou Springs was all one color
inside and really needed some updating. By removing
the office-type drop ceiling, we added a foot to the
height of the ceilings. We then sealed the seven or so
layers of wallpaper, patched and textured the walls
throughout and finished with some brilliant colors
upstairs and with more of a subdued color for the
downstairs.
We kept the old style claw foot tubs and some of the
original light fixtures, got rid of the carpet
downstairs and installed solid oak wood floors all in
keeping with the original style of the home.
